Avery Dennison presents Scan-to-Order app at Labelexpo Europe

28 October 2015

Avery Dennison has showcased its new Scan-to-Order app for iOS/Android devices at Labelexpo Europe 2015.

Using the new app customers will be able to order for Avery Dennison's products by scanning a barcode, or by entering the product/EAN code.

Customers can also order multiple products by giving the desired width, length, quantity and delivery date for the products.

Avery Dennison Materials Group Europe vice president Gernot Ritzdorf said: "Our new Scan-to-Order app is one of the easiest ways to place orders, return to unfinished orders, and review your recent orders submitted using your mobile device.

"It's a great way to order when you're on the move, with data going straight into Avery Dennison's order execution system."

Available in13 languages, the app can be obtained from the Apple App Store and/or Google Play. It is claimed to offer a streamlined process which allows the use of a mixture of barcode scans and manual code entry during a single order if required.

The app stores the unfinished orders in shopping cart and has a recent orders option, using which the customers can review the most recent orders submitted.

Avery Dennison recently launched two bio-based polyethylene (PE) films for label applications at LabelExpo Europe.

The new labels films are said to be the first self-adhesive PE filmic labels that are made out of over 80% renewable material.
