Epson America introduces new SurePress L-6034W UV digital press

14 September 2016

Epson America has introduced new SurePress L-6034W single-pass industrial press, designed for use in several industries.

The new label press can be used to carry out short to mid-run jobs across various industries, including health and beauty, nutraceuticals food and beverage, and standard consumer packaged goods.

Featuring PrecisionCore linehead technology and low migration LED UV curing ink, the new SurePress enables label converters to expand production facilities.

The new press incorporates corona treater, white ink, digital varnish and an additional UV curing unit for effective label production.

PrecisionCore linehead technology allows high-speed and single-pass printing to deliver quality output and durability.

Quick-drying UV ink provides enhanced weather, scratch, chemical, and water resistance. It also enables to print on heat-sensitive substrates.

Center drum system feeds the substrate with increased precision to minimize color unevenness and reduce the heat expansion or shrinkage of the substrate, helping to use the various types of off-the-shelf standard flexographic substrates.

Under white ink printing, surfacewhite print and reverse-white prints are provided that will expand the range of expression on clear and metalized films.

Epson America product manager Mike Pruitt said: "Epson is directly addressing industry concerns regarding UV digital label press print quality, which has historically looked too shiny with poor gradations.

"The SurePress L-6034 is a flexible, easy-to-use UV digital label press that produces high-quality, sellable labels, allowing prime label and packaging converters to fulfill demanding and varying portfolios, and uncover expanded business and revenue opportunities to increase their productivity and profitability."
