Kulshan Brewing selects Rexam cans

27 August 2015

US-based Kulshan Brewing has introduced new 12oz cans made by Rexam for its Bastard Kat IPA and Full 90 Session Ale.

While Bastard Kat is an American Style West Coast IPA has a full hop flavor with a citrus punch, Full 90 Session Ale is said to have herbal, light citrus German Perle hops with Vienna malt.

Kulshan Brewing owner David Vitt said: "We are extremely proud of our new location and the fact that it gives us the ability to offer some of our great-tasting beers in cans.

"Working with Rexam we have the perfect package that will allow our customers to take our brews with them camping, hiking or wherever they go."

The cans are said to be durable and portable and are permitted at parks, lakes and other outdoor locations where glass items are not allowed.

Aluminum cans are also known for their ability to preserve the beer's taste and freshness. The light-weight cans help reduce shipping costs.

Rexam BCNA sales and marketing vice-president Joanna Novak said: "We are pleased to add Kulshan to the growing list of brewery's that are recognizing the can's superiority.

"Our cans will allow the brewery to expand its reach. And the outstanding value this package delivers will help Kulshan continue to build its brand throughout the Northwest and beyond."

Kulshan had recently opened a second brewery unit with a large taproom and canning line in Bellingham, Washington.
