UK-based corrugated packaging specialist Diamondpak is setting course for further expansion with plans to recruit around 20 new staff across its two sites in Pontypool and Bristol. The company will be recruiting apprentices, factory and office workers.

Managing director Russell Davies explained that increasing demand for internet postal packaging and other specialist products is fuelling the company’s growth.

“We have achieved 15-20% growth each year since 2012 and we are expecting to improve on that in 2016,” he said.
“Over the past few months we have been investing in new machinery to make our plant more efficient, which in turn has given us greater capacity and opportunities.

“While demand for ‘peal and seal’ book wraps is increasing, we are also securing more orders for point of sale products, through our Bristol plant PH Laminators, and large ‘pallet’ boxes.”

During the past three years, Diamondpak has doubled its workforce to 65 and, while recruitment is high on the agenda, Mr Davies said training and development remains a priority.
