Petaluma startup pharmaceutical packaging maker Avrenlogics plans hires

30 June 2016

A startup pharmaceutical packager has made a sizable footprint in south Petaluma and plans a number of hires this year.

Avrenlogics leased 13,243 square feet at 1770 Corporate Cir. in Lakeville Business Park for pharmaceutical packaging and manufacturing with some research and development functions, according to property owner Basin Street Properties. The company expects to gradually ramp up, hiring nearly 20 employees by year-end, primarily in manufacturing roles. Based on the startup’s projections and demand for innovative pharmaceutical packaging, continued growth and hiring is expected through 2017 and into 2018, Basin Street said.

“This new lease shows the diversification of industries occurring in Sonoma County,” said Scott Stranzl, vice president of leasing at Basin Street Properties. “More companies are realizing they can achieve all their business requirements in Petaluma, but with lower rents, lower cost of living and less traffic.”

Avrenlogics looked at 13 buildings in the region before inking the deal, according to the Reno, Nev.-based property owner. Reasons for picking Sonoma County reportedly include a qualified and talented health care industry workforce to draw from, desirable quality of life and proximity to the South Bay for conventions, conferences and meetings.

Lakeville Business Park is a five-building development with 205,777 square feet. It has three single-story office/flex buildings and two two-story class A office buildings. It is adjacent to 500 acres of protected wetlands bird sanctuary at Shollenberger Park.
