Roberts PolyPro introduces a New High Speed Series of Robotic Bottle Handle Applicators at Pack Expo

22 September 2015

Roberts PolyPro, powered by Pro Mach, shows for the first time at Pack Expo the company’s new series of high-speed robotic bottle handle applicators – up to 30 or 60 cases per minute, depending on the model, which are designated as CM-30 and CM-60 respectively. This new series of applicators requires less space on the line than other robotic applicators because the robot is inverted mounted under the top of the machine’s frame, not at the frame’s end. The new machine provides optimum flexibility in pack configurations from single bottle handles up to 12 packs and various combinations in between. (Roberts PolyPro Pack Expo Booth C-2814)

This applicator utilizes the latest generation of Roberts PolyPro fully recyclable HDPE extruded handles, which are thin, light, and strong. Operators will load the handle magazine in these new machines less often than comparable robotic machines because the Roberts PolyPro HDPE extruded handles require a quarter of the space of common injection molded handles.

These new applicators come standard with ProTech by Pro Mach™, the new Pro Mach highly secure remote monitoring for overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) data and remote tech support and service capability that can help fix issues or modify settings in a matter of minutes or hours. In terms of OEE, customers will be able to access customized dashboards of operating parameters from mobile phones or tablets. These new secure capabilities are the latest advancements in the Pro Mach ProCustomer program, which aims to be the benchmark of support initiatives in the packaging industry.

Also in terms of support, Pro Mach is a FANUC Robotics Certified Servicing Integrator (CSI) and Strategic Market Specialist. CSIs are FANUC Robotics’ most highly trained Integrators. As a CSI, Pro Mach is authorized to integrate and perform warranty repair on all FANUC robots that the company sells. Pro Mach also provides training, parts, and other service. Among all FANUC Robotics Authorized System Integrators, only four percent have earned CSI designation.

“High speed, small footprint, flexibility in handle application, low-cost/high functionality handles, and ProTech make this new series of robotic bottle handle applicators an outstanding solution and value,” said Chris Turner, Sales Director, Roberts PolyPro. “The remote monitoring and services and tech support features can have a profound impact on uptime and throughput, making the packaging operation ever more competitive. Pack Expo provides a great opportunity to see this new system in action.”
