RPC Group launches new products for confectionery and skincare segments

16 February 2015

UK packaging group RPC has launched new products for the confectionery and male skincare segments. RPC Containers Blackburn has created a narrower PET jar in response to a request from its long-term customer, Tangerine Confectionery. The injection-moulded 3.6l jar is the same height as a 4l version and has been specifically developed for Tangerine’s cash and carry customers.

The jar’s glass-clear appearance highlights the coloured confectionery inside and has a wide neck for easy dispensing. Sarah Brown, senior brand manager at Tangerine Confectionery, said: “We’ve worked with RPC on a number of projects now and look forward to working with the team in the future to develop further new packaging solutions for our products.”

Meanwhile, RPC Bramlage-Wiko’s "Twist Up" airless dispenser has been selected for the new Reactiv Bodycare premium skincare range for men. RPC said ‘Twist Up’ offers excellent functionality with hygienic no-mess dispensing and effective product protection. The upper part of the 50ml container turns to reveal the dispensing head and the dispenser closes in the down position to protect the contents. Airless technology also helps to preserve the product’s natural ingredients (see also Plasteurope.com of 15.10.2010).

Reactiv founder, James Gillespie, said: “Reactiv is the first range of premium male grooming products in the UK specifically designed for the athletic man who is serious about sport, physical well-being, and looking and feeling good. We therefore needed a practical, robust and good-looking pack that would help to emphasise the brand’s uniqueness in the market.”
