UK-based Solidus Solutions will be showcasing its extensive range of solid board packaging solutions for fish products, at the Seafood Expo Global in Brussels, Belgium.

The event will take place from April 26 to 28.

The company’s solid board is the perfect solution for packing fresh, frozen or vacuum packed fish, said a statement from the company.

Solidus Solutions noted that its packing solutions meet strict hygiene standards, provide the necessary strength and insulation and can be used for packing fresh fish. Solid board also shortens the product's required freezing time. Solid board packaging absorbs little space, which helps to maximise storage space and minimise transportation costs, it said.

The company’s boxes can be treated with a polyethylene (PE) coating and Sapino, it said.

Additionally, the company developed “Foodline” which was especially designed for the production of food packaging and is extremely suitable for wet fish. The board is finished in a glued liner suitable for direct food contact which prevents migration between packaging and food.
