Tekni?Plex Europe NV has completed the acquisition of Gallazzi’s Italian?based pharmaceutical blister film and adhesive tape substrate film businesses.

Headquartered in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, Tekni-Plex will operate the acquired businesses through its subsidiary, Tekni-Plex Gallazzi Srl and will continue to utilize the same plants, equipment, formulations, procedures and certifications with no change in output products, said the company in a statement.

Tekni-Plex Gallazzi is the producer of PVC films and PVDC coated barrier films for applications such as pharmaceuticals, food packaging and other products, as well as thin gauge PVC film for adhesive tape applications.

The pharmaceutical blister film business include Tradate, Varese and Lombardia while adhesive tape substrate film business include Gallarate, Varese and Lombardia.

Tekni-Plex, Inc. is a manufacturer of closure liners, medical tubing, high-barrier pharmaceutical films, medical compounds, dispensing components and thermoformed containers. The company operates in healthcare, specialty packaging and food packaging segments and has 30 manufacturing facilities across nine countries.
