Victory Packaging to open new distribution facility in Chicago, US

14 March 2016

US-based Victory Packaging is set to open a new warehouse and distribution center in Chicago in April to expand its packaging-related operations in the region.

The new 275,000ft² facility will be located in Aurora, a suburb of Chicago, and is claimed to be one of the firm's largest locations in the country.

The facility will offer a range of services including vendor managed inventory, fulfillment, engineering and design, flexible packaging, equipment and automation, and total cost optimization.

Scott Besen and Tim Milet will act as general manager and sales manager for the new facility.

Victory Packaging co-president Robert Egan said: "We've been here for 19 years with 30 employees today who serve 500 customers in a variety of industries.

"This new facility will enable us to better meet their needs as we continue to help improve their profitability with our packaging solutions."

In May 2015, KapStone Paper and Packaging acquired Victory Packaging, which operates around 65 warehouses and distribution facilities in the US, Canada and Mexico.

The company provides packaging solutions, as well as just-in-time delivery and inventory management services to its customers.
