Linpac Makes Significant Investment in New Energy-Efficient Cooling System at UK Headquarters

Leading fresh food packaging manufacturer, LINPAC, has invested over £320k in a state-of-the-art outside chill plant at its West Yorkshire headquarters to bring its UK cooling system in line with the European standards of LINPAC Group.

The new system, which replaces three existing evaporating cooling towers at the site, will run at a low ambient temperature for optimum energy efficiency and completely removes the risk of legionella bacteria formation on site.

Tesco Plc has partnered with key supplier, Hilton Food Group, and fresh food packaging manufacturer LINPAC, to maximise the recyclability potential of its plastic fresh food packaging in support of the recycling industry.

The three companies have worked together to bring the lightweight LINPAC Rfresh® Elite plastic pack for meat and poultry to Tesco shelves. The unique pack is manufactured from in excess of 95 per cent food-safe recycled content, which is typically recovered from plastic(PET) water bottles from household waste.

Canadian Meat Processors Benefit With LINPAC Thanks To New HSP Partnership

Meat and poultry processors in Canada can reap the benefits of LINPAC technology now that the packaging manufacturer has teamed up with leading Canadian food materials and equipment supplier, Heat Sealing Packaging (HSP).
