Currently, our company exports offset blankets to more than 100 countries worldwide.

Our range of blanket products that are converted and barred or coated in our own production processes for ready-to-use shipping satisfies the strictest quality criteria and the most advanced technical requirements. We have adopted several extensions to fulfil the requirements of our clients.

BIRKAN S.C. 900 E

BIRKAN S. C. 900 E is the perfect blanket for high volume applications and where controlling press consumable costs are a major consideration. The sophisticated construction includes a highly resilient surface compound, offering excellent edge cut resistance, and enabling use with a variety of sheet sizes without the need for blanket changes.

The special micro ground surface finish gives outstanding print quality with sharp dot reproduction across a wide range of papers, boards and printing pressures, whilst also providing excellent sheet release on high speed presses.

BIRKAN S. C. 900 E is designed for use with conventional inks and affords excellent ink transfer, enabling printing with low ink film weight.

The innovative compressible layer with microsphere technology gives excellent smash resistance and ensures increased durability and blanket life. The blanket‘s overall longevity reduces downtime costs, further enhancing its quality and performance-value advantages.

All blankets can be provided with or without bars or self-adhesive layer.

Features:

  • Sharp dot reproduction
  • Very good sheet release
  • Outstanding edge cut resistance

BIRKAN Masterprint UV

BIRKAN Masterprint UV is characterized by a particularly fine ground surface made of a premium EPDM-rubber compound. A surface which is extremely swell resistant to UV inks and washing solutions and, what is more, especially heat resistant. At the same time this special surface compound improves ink transfer, limits paper dust piling and thus reduces washing intervals. Due to the micro ground surface structure, printing results are excellent as well in halftone print as in solid print, whatever the paper type or thickness is. BIRKAN Masterprint UV is therefore suited to a broad range of offset printing applications and especially suited to carton printing.

All blankets can be provided with or without bars or self-adhesive layer.

Applications:

  • Sheetfed printing with UV inks
  • Recommended for carton printing

Features:

  • Top quality in halftone and solid print
  • Very good sheet release
  • High smash recovery
  • Reduced paper dust piling

BIRKAN S.C. 800 Ground

A genuine allround printing blanket for a variety of offset applications, including carton printing.

"S.C." stands for "Super Compressible": A thick microsphere compressible layer allows good smash recovery and increases the blanket‘s durability.

The micro ground surface, a special blend of nitrile and polysulphide rubbers, is designed to give excellent ink transfer and sharp half tones over a wide range of printing pressures. It resists most UV drying inks and washes and offers also very good paper release properties (QR effect).

BIRKAN S. C. 800 is compatible with a wide range of paper weights.

All blankets can be provided with or without bars or self-adhesive layer.

Applications:

  • Sheetfed printing with conventional and UV inks
  • Recommended for carton printing

BIRKAN UV Compressible EPDM

This blanket is extremely resistant to aggressive UV curing inks and washes: The micro ground EPDM surface of BIRKAN UV Compressible EPDM does not absorb UV inks and, what is more, guarantees excellent ink transfer and sharp dot reproduction. It also reduces ink and paper dust piling and gives very good sheet release in a wide range of materials.

The thick micro sphere compressible layer provides smash resistance and blanket durability. A stabilising fabric between the surface and the compressible layer as well as the dense low stretch fabric ensure extra robustness and stability to the blanket.

All blankets can be provided with or without bars or self-adhesive layer.

Applications:

  • Sheetfed printing with UV inks
  • Recommended for label printing, carton printing and

Thickness Gauge

The major function of the transportable BIRKAN thickness gauge is to control blankets, plates or underlay foils outside the printing press. This handy little tool is a classic among our worldwide clients and will serve you for many years. Please remember that you need to regularly check the thickness of your cylinder packing in order to prevent printing problems.

It is equipped with a special feeler for soft materials such as rubber printing blankets. The material is perfectly protected during measurement: Plane, round feelers with a contact area of 1 cm² allow a traceless thickness control. The analog dial is simple to read, with a graduation of 0.01 mm. A special spring provides invariable contact pressure, separately from any user.High durability can obtained through the robust construction with the well-built, ergonomic handle.
