Bemis Company, Inc. has been selected for a 2016 DuPont Award for Packaging Innovation, receiving a Diamond Finalist Award for the Doril Enxaqueca medicine package, exhibiting excellence in Technological Advancement, Responsible Packaging, and Enhanced User Experience.

“We are honored to be recognized, along with our customer, for this innovative new pharmaceutical package,” said William Jackson, Vice President and Chief Technology Officer of Bemis Company. “The Doril package is an outstanding example of how our technological expertise can be leveraged to help our customers succeed.”

The Doril Enxaqueca package provides exceptional print across the entire area of the package, including the formed laminated foil blister that accommodates the medicine, allowing for clear product communication to consumers for over-the-counter products. This new package is also designed to assist pharmaceutical manufacturers with reducing production time and with reducing the overall amount of packaging in the supply chain.

The Doril Enxaqueca package also won the ABRE Packaging Award and the Grandes Cases de Embalagem Award in Brazil during 2015.

The DuPont Awards for Packaging Innovation program is the industry’s longest-running, global, independently judged competition that honors innovation and collaboration throughout the entire packaging value chain. Inaugurated in 1986, the DuPont Packaging Awards program is recognized as the leading packaging awards program in the world.
