Bobst to unveil new flexible packaging machine at Labelexpo Europe 2017

Bobst is set to unveil new automated print production and finishing system at this year’s Labelexpo Europe event in Belgium.

At the event, the company will present new Bobst M8 multi-process and multi-web inline printing and converting machine which can be used in flexible packaging and related operations.

Featuring digital flexo technology, the multi-process machine provides web widths up to 1070mm and speeds up to 400m per minute.

Bobst digital flexo includes various features, comprising of complete digital control of the press, with camera-monitored closed loop press operations that allow fully automated pre-register, as well as adjustment of the print pressure and register and camera-based print quality/PDF comparisons at all speeds.

The new system, which can run UV, water-based or solvent-based inks, provides flexibility to users in terms of substrates, consumables and applications.

Bobst M8 delivers automatic on-the-fly job changeover sequences, in addition to digital control and total color consistency.

The press can be used to handle various substrates, including packaging reel-to-reel printing, film, aluminum foil, lamitubes and paper. The cardboard version of the M8 will handle substrates up to 600 gsm.
