10 October 2016

UK-based corrugated packaging supplier Cepac has unveiled plans to expand its facility in Doncaster.

The company will install new machines and expand manufacturing space at the facility under the million pound project, which is expected to begin in spring 2017.

Cepac will also expand its design department to enable customers to review its concepts and options, oversee their new developments and orders, as well as observe and approve print and final product.

In April, the company installed second digital printing press to produce innovative packaging with enhanced graphics.

With enhanced digital features, the Cepac Express was designed to meet the requirement for fast and on demand service targeted at smaller quantities.

Cepac sales and marketing director Steve Moss said: : “Our investment in state of the art printing and manufacturing is not just about meeting customer requirements but being able to exceed their expectations.

“We are doubling the size of our premises and more than halving customer lead times, offering unrivalled innovation, quality, service and response.”

“We consider that digital print will revolutionise our industry not only with respect to graphics but also in transforming the way that corrugated is ordered and supplied, focusing on the customers’ needs and requirement for fast response and excellent product presentation.”

Cepac produces corrugated packaging products ranging from high-volume corrugated containers, to retail-ready packaging, as well as industrial packaging.

The firm supplies its products to the customers in different sectors, including FMCG, drinks and confectionary.
