Specialty packaging company Essel Propack has inaugurated a new plant in Cali, Colombia.

The new facility has a capacity to manufacture 180 million tubes per year and make new generation laminated tubes targeting the high value beauty & cosmetics category along with a Pharma clean room, Essel Propack said in a statement.

Located in special economic zone, the facility will cater to the adjacent Andean markets of Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Venezuela, Chile besides serving the local demand, it added.

Essel Propack, part of the USD 2.4 billion Essel Group, is is a specialty packaging firm, manufacturing laminated plastic tubes catering to the FMCG and Pharma space.
