According to the European aerosol industry federation FEA a total of 5.693bn aerosols were produced in Europe last year – which is a minor increase on 2015 (5.672bn units).

However, compared to 2006 last year’s figures constitute an increase of 702m aerosols. This means the European aerosol market takes first place in the global theatre, ahead of the US that produced 3.754bn units last year.

Britain, Germany and France are responsible for 60% of the overall European production.
