Freehold-based packaging and janitorial company Tomar Industries Inc. announced Friday that it has acquired Willgain Enterprises, a full-service distributor based in Middlesex.

Willgain, which has a niche focus in shrink film and shrink film equipment, was acquired for an undisclosed price.

“The acquisition of Willgain is a great fit for Tomar because our customers now have access to Cryovac, the leader in the shrink film business, and Shanklin, the leader in shrink film equipment; and Willgain customers now have complete access to all the Tomar product lines,” Thomas Field Jr., president of Tomar, said in a prepared statement. “The combination of both companies will offer solutions to the industry like no other.”

Kevin Willmann, founder and CEO of Willgain, has joined Tomar as its director of shrink packaging. The company said he will continue to service his existing account base, as well as assist Tomar’s sales department in selling shrink film and equipment.
