Global Closure Systems launches Jeroboam closure for Carrefour auto products

21 May 2015

Global Closure Systems (GCS) has upgraded Jeroboam snap-hinge standard dispensing closure for French multinational retailer Carrefour’s range of coolant and windscreen washer products.

According to GCS, the new design of Jeraboam helps in avoiding glugging, spills, and splashes while pouring from automotive product containers.

Developed by GCS' French plant Astra Plastique, the closure has an anti-glug system, integrated flow regulator and splash-guard for a constant and accurate flow of content. Its patented locakage mechanism avoids leakage during transit.

Jeroboam's flip-top pourer opens and closes with an audible click.

The rotatable pouring spout allows the container to be used in a convenient position.

Carrefour car accessories product development manager Mohamed Bekkar said: "No need for funnels, no more struggling with bulky containers to pour liquid into places which are awkward to reach.

"Jeroboam's in-built controlled dispensing system solves a long-standing problem in the market and makes life so much easier for consumers."

The container remains tamper-free with a tear-off strip and a polypropylene screw-on base.

Jeroboam comes in different colors.

GCS offers over 2,700 designs of closures for the FMCG market. Its key products includes child-resistant closures, valve dispensing closures, wide mouth closures, beverage sports caps and non-refillable fitments in the UK.

With 21 production sites located in 13 countries around the world, the company manufactures close to 40 billion plastic and metal closures per annum.
