Golden West Packaging Group LLC has acquired four independent packaging companies: Heritage Solutions, Inc., Capital Corrugated, Inc., PackageOne, Inc., Packaging Innovators Corporation; and their co-owned captive sheet feeder, Cal Sheets, LLC.

This transaction creates a leading West Coast mill-independent system that provides custom packaging to a diversified customer base with an emphasis on the wine, food, produce and e-commerce markets. The combined company offers:

•  Custom packaging, folding cartons, and displays
•  Extensive production capabilities, including structural and graphic design, value-added converting, flexographic printing and lithographic lamination
•  Full-service support, including storage, fulfillment, distribution, packaging supplies, and equipment design and build services

Golden West Packaging Chief Executive Officer Steve Strickland said, “These transactions give Golden West Packaging annual revenue of more than $250 million generated from a portfolio of well-invested assets that includes $35 million in advanced equipment upgrades over the last three years. The Golden West Packaging executive team has worked together building high-performing packaging businesses for more than three decades. In addition to Mr. Strickland, the team includes Executive Chairman Steve Klinger and Chief Administrative Officer Craig Hunt. These executives are also involved in Crown Paper Group, Inc., which includes Port Townsend Paper Company (a supplier to Golden West Packaging), Crown Packaging, and Montebello Container. In addition, they have held various senior management roles at Smurfit Stone Container Corporation, Unisource and Georgia-Pacific.

Golden West Packaging is a holding company created in 2017 by Lindsay Goldberg LLC (“Lindsay Goldberg”) for investments in the packaging industry. Lindsay Goldberg is a private investment firm managing approximately $13 billion of equity capital that partners with founders, families, and entrepreneurs to actively build their businesses.
