Idealliance certifies Océ VarioPrint i-series inkjet color digital press

27 November 2017

Idealliance, the association for the visual communications and media industry, has certified Océ VarioPrint i-series inkjet color digital press.

The inkjet color digital press, which is produced by Océ Technologies, has achieved all the requirements of the Idealliance certification program as set forth by the association’s Print Properties and Colorimetric Council.

The certified digital press system is said to be effective in the areas of colorimetric accuracy, uniformity, repeatability, durability and registration.

Digital press certification is a recognized international specification for digital production technology, which enables manufacturers to show their abilities for advanced consistent color reproduction.

Updated in 2017, the certification program provides an independent third-party certification for equipment manufacturers based on hardware and software technologies.

The Idealliance digital inkjet system certification process includes testing and certification in the areas of color, print properties, and print production.

The process considers the entire press system, comprising of digital front-end, print engine, and paper.

Idealliance certification programs project manager Jordan Gorski said: “Idealliance is pleased to certify the Océ VarioPrint i-series Inkjet Press as a leader in the digital inkjet industry.

“Océ’s  efforts to continue to push the limits of print technology are evident by the high performance it achieved during the evaluation process and by the fact that the Océ VarioPrint i-series Inkjet color digital press is just the second inkjet device to achieve system certification status.”
