On 18 May 2017, Herbert Kemmerich, CEO Jokey Group, and Pedro Marcos Rubio Ruiz, Treplas S.L., signed the takeover agreement.  Takeover takes place retroactively as of 1 January 2017. Treplas is based in Molina de Segura in the region of Murcia, approx. 200 km south of Valencia. The company produces injection-moulded packaging for the food industry, as well as closures, caps and tailor-made solutions for beauty and home care. The brothers Rubio Ruiz will continue to run the Treplas business in future as well. „Jokey and Treplas consider it important to ensure that the customers of Treplas still enjoy the personal service  reflecting the philosophy of both family-run companies“, says Herbert Kemmerich.

As a result of the takeover, Treplas S.L., founded in 1971 and run by the family Rubio Ruiz, will become part of the Jokey Group, which is run by its owners alike.  Treplas will additionally supplement and extend the Jokey product range and customised solutions in the division Jokey Individual. The product range for Spanish customers will be enlarged significantly by the broad range of standard products of the Jokey Group.
