Kite Packaging has opened a new branch in Swindon, double the size of its previous facility.

The 36,000 sq ft facility on South Marston Industrial Estate is an 18,000 sq ft increase on the previous premises at Swindon's IO Centre.

It has boosted its capacity of 40 per cent and introduced a new warehouse facility which can accommodate 5,000 pallets of packaging.

It is Kite Packaging's third new property of the year following the acquisition of a Sittingbourne-based business in February and a new branch opening in Portsmouth.

Neil Spears, managing partner of Kite Packaging Thames Valley and South Wales, said: "Today has been fantastic, with the whole of our Thames Valley & South Wales team excited to cut the ribbon on our new property.

"This resource has been needed for some time, as we have experienced a fantastic rate of growth. Now we have the space, we hope to attract more customers and more partners to the branch."
