19 January 2017

Japan-based Komori has unveiled a new one-pass double-sided printing press for a range of requirements.

The new 44-inch Lithrone GX44R will enable to deliver quality, short turnaround, high speed, stability and reduced waste in double-sided printing.

The system includes single-edge gripping feature, which serves as the margin on the tail edge of the sheets to minimize sheet size.

The press also enables to avoid sheet reversal process, helping in stable sheet transport that is capable of handling either light or heavy stocks through the use of four double-size transfer cylinders.

Lithrone GX44 44-inch, which has front/back plate imaging in the same direction, can be used in duplex package printing and publication printing such as magazines and books.

With KHS-AI*1 integrated start-up control system and the H-UV?UV curing system, the press can accommodate very small lots and short turnarounds.

The system has printing speed of 15,000 sheets per hour, as well as provides sheet specification for commercial printing and cardboard specification for package printing.

The press can also be specified with the A-APC asynchronous automatic plate changer and the PQA-S print quality assessment system for sheetfed to reach higher levels of quality and productivity.
