Linpac and Zultec partner to build PET thermoforming facility in Saudi Arabia

Primary fresh food packaging company Linpac has partnered with Saudi Arabia-based Zultec Group to build a new PET thermoforming facility in Jeddah.

The proposed facility will supply Linpac branded rigid and flexible packaging materials for food processors and retailers in fresh meat and poultry in Saudi Arabia, the GCC and neighboring countries.

Linpac chairman and CEO Daniel Dayan said: "We are delighted to formalise our relationship with the Zultec Group. Zultec has a long history of serving the Middle East food industry and has a deep local knowledge, which when complemented by the Linpac packaging portfolio and intellectual property, creates a powerful opportunity for both companies.

"We aim to continue to invest and develop the relationship by establishing further extrusion and thermoforming capabilities in the region as the business grows."

With 21 locations across the world, Zultec manufactures and distributes end-of-the-line packaging solutions and packaging materials. It also supplies engineering and IT solutions.

Zultec Group president and CEO Zulqiurnain Ali Khan said: "We hope to add value to the Saudi economy through this cooperation by bringing world-class standard packaging solutions to the food industry, while creating employment & providing training to Saudis."

Linpac has18 manufacturing sites where it produces plastic packaging, container, and film products. Its network also includes 23 sales operations.
