Mead Johnson launches Enfamil in ready-to-use plastic bottle

8 October 2015

Mead Johnson has launched its Enfamil range of products in a new 32 fluid ounce ready-to-use plastic bottle.

The bottle comes with an easy-to-grip shape. It ensures accurate proportions due to the formula being premixed, the company said.

Shelf-stable technology keeps the product fresh without refrigeration until it is opened.

Enfamil and its family of formulas are aimed at meeting the nutritional needs of newborns, infants, toddlers and children. Introduced in 1959, Enfamil was Mead Johnson's first routine formula.

Mead Johnson Nutrition US marketing vice-president Carl Stealey said: "While Mead Johnson is focused on nourishing children for the best start in life, our innovation efforts extend beyond nutritional and health benefits. We know that today's parents are on the go and on the look-out for options that can make their days run a little more smoothly.

"The new 32 fluid ounce ready-to-use packaging offers a whole new level of convenience and flexibility for parents - for some, it's their everyday formula, while others find it's a great complement to their usual powder routine."

The Enfamil range of products in new packaging are available at major retailers in the US.

The company has also launched a nipple-ready 2 fluid ounce Nursette bottle for newborns and an 8 fluid ounce ready-to-use bottle to meet the changing feeding needs as babies grow.

Mead Johnson's Enfamil formulas and other ready-to-use infant formulas are claimed to provide babies with complete nutrition, as well as nutrients such as DHA and choline which play a key role in brain development.
