Memjet to open new global headquarters in California

30 June 2015

Color inkjet technology firm Memjet will open new global headquarters in San Diego, California.

The headquarters will feature laboratories and corporate offices for accommodating its growing staff headcount.

Sprawled over 25,000ft2, the new global headquarters will combine Memjet's two previous facilities in San Diego.

The global headquarters will also include an expansive demo area for new and potential customers, as well as enhanced labs for ink, printhead and hardware innovation.

Memjet CEO Len Lauer said, "Memjet has seen a tremendous amount of growth in both revenue and OEM customers utilizing the technology, and we expect to multiply the growth in the years ahead.

"The decision to expand our San Diego footprint was an easy one to make in light of the increased number of employees to support the growing customer base and our continued need to expand our R&D capability across both ink and printhead technology."

The company has its corporate unit in San Diego currently and offices in Dublin, Sydney, Taipei, Singapore and Boise, Idaho.

Memjet offers technologies and components to OEM printing partners globally, including fast printhead technology that is supported by its controller chips, software and ink.

Its printhead uses "waterfall" technology to pour ink on the page via 70,000+ ink nozzles, thereby enabling vivid color printing and the highest resolution via single-pass printing.

Its OEM partners include Canon-Oce, Colordyne, VIPColor, Xante and many others.
