Michelman to showcase DigiPrime print primers at LabelExpo

6 August 2015

Coatings, printing and packaging firm Michelman will display its DigiPrime printing primers, designed to suit the requirements of HP Indigo presses, at LabelExpo 2015.

The HP-certified DigiPrime water-based primers are claimed to enhance ink receptivity, rub resistance and image quality on paper, plastic, metallic and film substrates.

Michelman will introduce DigiPrime 680, a variant of the printer primer, developed to suit in-line priming (ILP) unit of the HP Indigo WS6X00 series of digital presses.

Applicable in flexible packaging printing processes, DigiPrime 680 is stated to enhance ink receptivity on films, show good lamination bond strength and boost performance on shrink sleeves.

Also on display will be DigiPrime 4431, a flexo and gravure ready primer for HP Indigo ElectroInks to film and paper substrates printed on HP Indigo digital presses.

DigiPrime 050 finds its utility with HP Indigo 20000, a press for printing on reel-based flexible packaging substrates, labels and shrink sleeves. It is also said to boost adhesive bond strength between film layers.

DigiPrime 060 is developed for HP Indigo 30000, a sheet-fed press that prints on folding cartons.
