Packaging Corporation Brings $13 Million in Machinery to West Michigan

12 July 2018

Advance Packaging Corporation, an independent corrugated board manufacturer today announced they have made a $13,000,000 investment in a new state-of-the-art printing processing machine. The new technology, trademarked by Advance as BentLine Technology joins the company’s existing 20 plus machines.

The sophistication of this new process, comprised of a Göpfert Ovation 8-Color Flexo Press and Bobst Mastercut 2.1 Platen Die Cutter will allow Advance to hire up to six new, full time employees. Employees of this new crew will undergo 30 days of paid training to develop highly specialized trade skills in the process.

The BentLine technology separates Advance from other providers of corrugated printing products because of its ability to produce full eight color prints and up to 10,000 sheets per hour. Unlike other machines that randomly spot check production pieces, the BentLine system individually inspects 100% of the output ensuring each piece is free of flaws. Advance will begin producing product from the new machine the second week of July.

“Our decision to grow our product line with the addition of the new BentLine technology will further distinguish us from our competition and allow us to remain the premier corrugated packaging flexo printer in United States”, says Scott Wilcox, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Advance Packaging. “As the only company in the North America with this type of technology, we can serve clients on a national level while keeping manufacturing jobs here in Michigan.”
