Pollard Boxes acquires presentation packaging manufacturer Clarke Rubicon

15 June 2016

Rigid box supplier Pollard Boxes has acquired the business and assets of Clarke Rubicon, a UK based presentation packaging manufacturer.

Clarke Rubicon is engaged in supplying a wide range of products to both the retail and commercial sectors.

Going forward, Clarke Rubicon will continue to trade under its name from its site in Stephenson Industrial Estate, Coalville.

Besides retaining its existing management team, the firm is expected to benefit from the full resources and support of the Pollard Boxes.

Pollard Boxes managing director Mark Pollard said: "The company has a deserved reputation for the quality of its products and services and, working together, we will be able to further enhance and develop our capabilities to provide our customers with unparalleled levels of technical excellence from a UK manufacturer.

Clarke Rubicon managing director Jim Burton said: "This offers additional opportunities for Clarke Rubicon and its employees.

"Our customers will continue to deal with our own sales people while at the same time having access to an even wider range of facilities and expertise to provide the highest quality packaging solutions."

With the acquisition, Pollard Boxes now comprise 13 fully automated box making lines as well as a further four American box making lines.
Pollard Boxes said that the deal makes it the largest producer of rigid boxes in the country.

Pollard Boxes designs and produces packs for the luxury drinks, beauty and personal care, gift, multi-media, publishing, and games markets.

In 2015, Pollard Boxes has expanded its manufacturing facility in Leicester, UK, with the addition of 6,000ft2 to facilitate storage and despatch.
