US based packaging machinery company Pro Mach has acquired Stork-Texwrap for undisclosed sum, expanding its secondary packaging product portfolio.

Based in the US, Stork-Texwrap manufactures fully automatic shrink wrapping systems for food, bakery, industrial, pharmaceutical, and printing industries across the world.

Texwrap's product portfolio includes a complete range of shrink wrappers, L-bar sealers, side sealers, tunnels, infeed solutions, and conveyors.

Pro Mach End of Line Group senior vice president Gary Evans said: "Texwrap has an excellent product line and talented people that complement our existing capabilities and customer base.

"And, their knack for solving customer problems using cost-effective and proven technology makes them a great addition to our End of Line Group. Their solutions also give Pro Mach one of the strongest and most thorough distributed product lines in the industry."

Pro Mach expects the acquisition to strengthen its business in packaging machinery solutions and customer service.

The firm said it will continue to use the Texwrap brand and maintain latter's production facility in Washington, Missouri.

Pro Mach president and CEO Mark Anderson said: "Pro Mach and Texwrap share a common tradition for customer service and product excellence. Their products strengthen our core technology offering and allow us to serve a wider range of customers with an established and trusted brand."

Pro Mach also expects the Texwrap's existing partnerships with trained packaging distributors to bolster its distributed products footprint.

Stork Fabricators, a full service metal fabrication shop housed at the Stork-Texwrap facility, will continue to operate and provide custom services including plasma and waterjet cutting.

Recently, Pro Mach acquired EPI Labelers, a producer of labeling products for packaging and promotional needs.
