ProAmpac has acquired the North American shopping bag product line of AB Packaging Group. This transaction will enable the parties to better serve their customers in their respective markets. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

“These assets will add additional capacity to ProAmpac’s paper handle bag production enabling us to better serve our growing food service, catering and retail customer base,” said ProAmpac CEO Greg Tucker.

Cincinnati-based ProAmpac, one of the top 10 flexible packaging converters in the United States, is owned by Pritzker Group Private Capital along with management and co-investors. Offering natural kraft, bleached white and clay coat paper, paper handle, merchandise, or self-opening sack shopping bags, ProAmpac’s bags have a full range of recycled content options.
