Romaco unveils Promatic PCI 915 intermittent motion cartoner

Romaco has unveild new Promatic PCI 915 intermittent motion cartoner, which can be used for for the secondary packaging of blisters, sealed strips and bottles.

The company said that it will exhibit the intermittent motion cartoner at the Healthcare Packaging expo, which will take place from 14 to 17 October in Chicago.

With 3.5m long, the intermittent motion cartoner can be adjusted in limited space and configured either as a standalone machine or in line with a primary packaging unit.

Promatic PCI is a compact cartoner that can deliver a maximum output of 160 cartons per minute.

With the new system, the containers for rejected products, leaflets and cartons can be freely accessed, removed and emptied without interrupting operation.

According to the company, the ergonomic system concept of the PCI 915 simplifies operation and reduces downtime, as well as product and packaging changes can be completed quickly and easily without tools.

Based on the poka-yoke principle, the format will be designed to prevent parts from being incorrectly assembled.

The cartoner features cGMP compliant balcony architecture that enhances line clearance. It alos offers better visibility on the processes and reproducible parameters.

Propack introduces new product delivery system:

Romaco Kilian’s KTP 420X rotary press will also exhibited at the event. The system is a high speed press for pharmaceutical applications and delivers a maximum output of 360,000 tablets per hour.

The system helps to keep the temperature in the process area at a constant level below 30°C, which is suitable for processing temperature sensitive medications such as Ibuprofen or Metformin.

The KTP 420X rotary press also features patented punch bellows that protect the tablets from contamination with lubricants.

Romaco Kilian STYL’ONE Evolution single-stroke press is suitable for laboratory applications, including the development of new formulations or for scale-up tests.

The system delivers a maximum output of 1,750 tablets per hour in configurations for mono-layer, multilayer or core tablets.

STYL’ONE system is installed with ANALIS intelligent PAT software that calculates all relevant tableting parameters based on compression force or displacement controlled cycles.
