Schreiner acquires new production plant in Dorfen, Germany

1 June 2017

Functional labels and labeling solutions developer Schreiner Group is moving into a new production facility in Dorfen near Erding, Germany.

The company said that over the course of next year, it will move into the facility, complete configuration of machinery and customer audits at the new production plant.

The company anticipates minimal conversions for the facility. Currently, Schreiner is working on detailed site planning, structuring of its workforce, machinery and the production launch date for the plant.

Schreiner Group CEO Roland Schreiner said: “Our overarching business strategy is based on the principle of customer intimacy."

“We define ourselves as a strategic partner and are committed to comprehensively satisfying our customers’ requirements in every respect—from the delivery of cost-efficient standard products through to innovative, custom-developed high-tech solutions centered on the integration of RFID, printed electronics and complex security technologies into labels, with line manufacturing of most standard products planned to take place at the new Dorfen site in the future.”

The Dorfen plant is not expected to impact Schreiner’s ties with the community of Oberschleissheim where it is headquartered in.

Schreiner plans to expand at all its locations, implement respective plans in Oberschleissheim and in other locations both in Germany and in other countries.

Schreiner Group is a family-owned business which has been in the packaging industry for over 65 years. It develops and manufactures functional labels and labeling solutions for a broad variety of industries.
