Videojet introduces new 100W fiber laser marking system

23 December 2016

Videojet Technologies has introduced new 100W fiber laser marking system for high-speed beverage, pharmaceutical and extrusion manufacturers.

The new Videojet 7610 fiber laser marking system has been developed to be used for marking high-contrast codes on hard plastics and metals such as aluminium cans, extruded tubes and cables.

Manufacturers will use promotional coding solutions to connect directly with consumers through the application of intelligent variable codes on their products.

Videojet 7610 fiber system enables manufacturers to mark legible codes on-the-fly at lines speeds up to 600m/min

The new 100W fiber laser features a large marking window that offers more time to mark, increase product throughput and maximize productivity.

The system also includes PC software interface that will help to create and produce marking jobs, specifically mark-on-the-fly applications and general laser marking.

SmartGraph software will be used for laser system configuration, parameter setting, template creation and job setup and editing.

Videojet Technologies laser business manager Sascha Ammesdoerfer said: "Our new 7610 has improved speeds on a range of substrates, allowing manufacturers to mark more products at the same great print quality.”

"The Videojet 7610 100-Watt fiber laser helps enable manufacturers to mark crisp, clear codes at up to 600 metres per minute.

"Demands for increased throughput and more code content can be met with this new fiber laser, helping our customers meet their production goals."

Videojet provides in-line printing, coding, and marking products, application specific fluids, and product life cycle services for the product identification market.
