Vonco launches new liquid-tight packaging division in US

US-based flexible packaging firm Vonco Products has lunched new division which will focus on the liquid-tight packaging market.

The new division, known as LiquaLoc Flexibles, is intend to bring Vonco’s liquid-tight packaging experience, proprietary processes and manufacturing expertise to a broader customers.

Vonco Products partner and sales and marketing vice-president Tim Morgan said: "Flexible packaging offers unmatched versatility for package design and performance, and we have extensive experience in developing unique flexible solutions.

"With the Launch of LiquaLoc Flexibles, we've got an opportunity to focus on this rapidly evolving market segment and leverage our engineering and material knowledge to help our customers gain a competitive edge with their packaging."

Vonco said that the launch of LiquaLoc Flexibles also marks the start of series of investments aimed at expanding its capabilities and capacity in the liquid-tight packaging market.

The company has constructed a custom-built, environmentally controlled room to house a new high-speed pouch manufacturing line at the Lake Villa facility in order to enhance current production.

In October, Vonco said it is relocating its operations from northern Illinois to Kenosha County.

The company plans to invest more than $4m in the new facility over the next three years.

Vonco leverages its expertise in materials, bag, pouch and sleeve design, seals and closures to offer high-performance flexible packaging solutions.
