Liberty Carton Company has acquired the packaging business assets of Western Container Company. Both are Minneapolis-area companies, and Western Container Company will continue to operate its steel, fiber and plastic drum business from its existing facility in New Hope, Minn. Liberty Carton Company is one of the Liberty Diversified International (LDI) family of companies.

According to LDI Chairman and CEO Mike Fiterman, “This acquisition will provide us with important additional reach and customers in our packaging business.”
