National Container Group (NCG), a reconditioning subsidiary of Germany-based Mauser, has acquired Total Container Group (TCG) and Advantage IBC, expanding its North American operations.

Advantage IBC is an independent intermediate bulk container (IBC) manufacturer, distributor and service provider serving businesses across the US. It has operations in Terrell, Texas; Humble, Texas, and Atlanta, Georgia.

In 2014, TCG was established by combining two industrial container companies K.P. McNamara and RnR Industrial Services.

A year later, CMO Enterprises, a provider of comprehensive array of industrial container solutions, joined the Group.CMO Enterprises offers container solutions ranging from less than 1-gallon cans to 20,000-gallon storage tanks as well as a variety of ancillary products and services.

NCG President and CEO Michael Chorpash said that the new acquisitions are “a bonus of this transaction is the addition of solid management teams that both companies bring to our NCG family.”Financial terms of the deals were undisclosed.

NCG expects the acquisitions to strengthen its presence in Ohio, Texas and Southern California while expanding its footprint in the Southeastern US.

In September 2016, NCG has unveiled new concepts for industrial and dangerous goods packaging. The new SM13 EX UL composite IBC has been developed to transport dangerous goods.

The company has developed a new container design concept based on a steel/plastic composite pallet. It already provides a composite IBC based on a wooden pallet that has a lower overall height and can fit two additional IBCs in a 20’ ISO container.
