VPK Packaging Group has recently closed a significant purchase order with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Europe (MHIE). The deal includes a new corrugator and converting equipment.

The new 2.8m corrugator, with a maximum speed of 450m per min, will be able to produce B, C and O flute board, as well as any combination of double wall. The machine will be installed in the Autumn of 2016 in VPK's site in Raamsdonksveer, The Netherlands.

In addition to the corrugator, the Raamsdonksveer plant will also take deliver of the first of the two flexo folder gluers, equipped with four colour units. The second folder gluer will be installed at the Selby site, which is part of VPK's UK-based daughter company Rigid Containers.
