Flexography has been broadly used as a rapid and an efficient way of applying easy designs and areas of color to a wide variety of packaging materials, such as paper and plastic containers (including waxed-paper ones), corrugated-cardboard boxes, metal foil, tape, envelopes. It's a kind of printing process which uses a flexible relief plate. It's widely used for printing on the non-porous substrates needed for different food packaging (It's also well suited for printing vast areas of solid color).
Rotogravure/gravure is a kind of intaglio printing process, which includes engraving the image onto an image carrier. Like offset printing and flexography, the image is engraved onto a cylinder and used a rotary printing press. Due to its high density range in printing, the roto-gravure printing M/C is very popular and widely used in the fine arts reproduction sectors and also photography. The printing process is usually used in food manufacturing and packaging sectors.
