API to launch holography service for visual packaging solutions at LUXE PACK 2016

28 July 2016

API is planning to launch custom decorative holography service – Holonique Boutique and its new Trends Yearbook at LUXE PACK Monaco this September.

Holonique Boutique offers API’s specialised knowledge in the use of holography and 3D Designs to brands, and shows how, as an integral part of the pack design, they can add the extra dimension to brands across the food, drinks, personal care and beauty sectors.

The team is led by David Peters, Creative Development Manager, who will be on stand VA18 with API’s Holographic Designers to help brands visualise the potential power of custom holography and optical effects. This, together with the first showcase of API’s Trend Yearbook for packaging, makes API’s stand the go-to place for designers, printers and brand owners who want to understand the latest packaging approaches.

API uses its wide range of novel visual effects to create exciting and engaging holographic designs that make products distinctive, communicate brand values and attract more consumer interest. While holography is often used to protect against counterfeiting, it is its eye-catching appeal that forms the core of API’s Holonique™ proposition. The bright colours and dynamic movement of a hologram, together with traditional print, lends packs the kind of depth and dimension with which consumers love to interact.

By providing this holographic interplay with print and helping brand owners visualise their brand’s potential, API’s brand enhancement products and Holonique™ Boutique service are ensuring brand packaging meets the latest in design needs and delivers an extra dimension to customers.

API’s latest Fresnel Lens Laminate will also be on the front cover of the luxury packaging magazine ‘Formes de Luxe’, following on from the sophisticated API designs created in previous years. Taking inspiration from API’s Trend Yearbook, the design combines the latest spiral lens effects with registered print, and provides a stunning example of the impact API’s laminates and brand enhancement products can have.

The API team is inviting all designers, printers and brand owners to come to stand VA18 and discover API’s portfolio of foil, laminate and holographic solutions, where they can find out how they can empower brands and provide real on-shelf impact.

Richard Burhouse, Commercial Director at API, comments: “Since it’s the premier show for Creative Packaging, we chose LUXE PACK Monaco as the ideal event to launch our Holonique™ Boutique and Trends Yearbook. We look forward welcoming all visitors to come to our stand, where our Holonique™ Boutique team will help guide them on the latest packaging trends that add real value to luxury and premium brands.”
