Berry Creates Unique rPET Bottle for New Sustainable Luxury Brand

Introducing a novel luxury artisanal mineral water, thoughtfully encased within an exclusive bottle made entirely from 100% recycled PET bottles*, manufactured by Berry Global.

NEUE Water is a conscious creation tailored to today's fast-paced, mobile lifestyle. Beyond its recycled composition, the bottle boasts a distinctive flat ergonomic design that easily slips into pockets, bags, and seatback storage on planes and trains. Its robust construction ensures suitability for refill and multiple uses, with recyclability at the end of its lifecycle.

The realization of NEUE Water's original design, conceived by founder Michael Lowers, heavily relied on Berry's technical prowess and extensive experience in working with recycled plastics. The innovative flat form posed a challenge to the injection stretch blow moulding (ISBM) process traditionally used for PET bottle production. Berry deftly adapted this technology to accommodate the novel design.

The appealing bottle shape features a continuous convex window on one side, magnifying the label area to showcase six limited-edition artist labels, creating an attention-grabbing presence on shelves. The artwork will evolve with changing fashion seasons. The inaugural collection showcases six vibrant, one-of-a-kind prints by Berlin-based artist Studio Raaad.

NEUE Water originates from one of Denmark's two artesian wells, renowned for its gentle, well-rounded flavor profile. It is bottled just meters away from the source, ensuring a low-impact production process. In the months since its launch, NEUE Water rapidly sold out within its inaugural week at Harrods. It also garnered multiple accolades, including a design gold award at the Fine Water Society's annual Taste and Design Awards, as well as a Good Brand Award from Sublime Magazine for Advancing Social & Environmental Sustainability.
