CDF Corporation Bolsters European Presence with New Intermediate Bulk Container Liner Equipment in Germany

11 October 2023

In a proactive response to the global shift towards a circular economy, CDF Corporation is delighted to announce the launch of a state-of-the-art manufacturing line for Form-Fit intermediate bulk container (IBC) liners. This new manufacturing line will be strategically situated within the cutting-edge facility of J. Natzan Kunststoffverarbeitung GmbH & Co KG in Lienen, Germany. Natzan, a family-owned business since 1989, is renowned for its precision in plastic packaging and custom heat-sealing solutions and will collaborate with CDF on this venture. Building upon their six-year partnership, this endeavor underscores the shared vision and dedication of both companies in delivering tailor-made, flexible packaging innovations. Expected to be fully operational by the close of 2023, this investment underscores CDF's commitment to expanding its flexible packaging offerings and marks its second significant European expansion since integrating Quadpak AB into the CDF alliance in 2013.

The Lienen facility will specialize in producing multi-ply Form-Fit and pillow-style liners customized for the Intermediate Bulk Container (IBC) industry. This initiative primarily caters to manufacturers of liquid to highly viscous products, providing environmentally responsible and cost-effective bulk packaging solutions ranging from 220 to 1500 liters. With the introduction of this new production line, CDF is poised to:

Provide Proven Sustainable Products: CDF maintains its unwavering commitment to delivering environmentally responsible packaging solutions that actively promote sustainability throughout the supply chain.

Reduce Lead Times: The expansion of production facilities is expected to streamline operations and enhance overall efficiency.

Enhance Global Customer Service: CDF's dedication to providing superior service extends worldwide, ensuring that customers have access to top-notch support and sustainable packaging solutions.

Joseph Sullivan, expressing CDF's enduring commitment to sustainable practices, stated, "For over half a century, CDF has been at the forefront of offering innovative products that not only save businesses money but also minimize their environmental footprint compared to other packaging alternatives. Our steadfast commitment to the 'reduce, reuse, and recycle' principles serves as the foundation of our dedication to responsible packaging. The forthcoming facility in Lienen, Germany aims to seamlessly assist companies in embracing the sustainable revolution in packaging by championing the principles of the 3Rs."

CDF's European expansion is in perfect alignment with prevailing market trends, as it reflects the growing support for eco-conscious global businesses. Recent data from a 2023 study indicated that 71% of young consumers actively select products based on their packaging sustainability.

Joseph Sullivan also noted, "With the introduction of the new Form-Fit line, we eagerly anticipate expanding our product range, which includes the Quadpak AB Cheertainer® bag-in-box, as well as our IBC Form-Fit and pillow liners. This expansion reinforces our unwavering commitment to environmental stewardship."
