After taking over German conglomerate - OYSTAR Group, Italian giant I.M.A. S.p.A. announced doubling of exports from Hassia Packaging India, which has now become IMA Dairy & Food Holding Hassia India in near future.

Hassia Packaging offers high speed automation for packaging food, dairy, agro-chemical, washing powder, shampoo, hair oil, nutraceuticals.

Hassia India has a strong presence in the Indian subcontinent and exports 30 percent of its products to international markets including Africa, SAARC and Southeast Asia. IMA S.p.A is also exploring the possibility transferring technology to Hassia and producing locally for export to Europe. "We want to focus our attention on India as against China as the local food sector companies are a big market for us," said Andrea Malagoli, CEO, IMA, S.p.A.

The company is looking at 20% growth year-on-year with a key focus on becoming an export oriented company by 2017; with a projected turnover from export to be more than 50%.

Hassia Packaging India hopes to achieve a growth of 400% in year 2015 based on orders booked. "We have already registered the actual figure of last year in the first four months of the year.
