The Logson Group, the UK’s largest independent supplier of corrugated packaging, announces the acquisition of a majority shareholding in Durham Box, an independent sheet plant based in County Durham.

The existing management team will remain with the business, continuing to lead Durham Box as a stand-alone business within the Logson Group.

David Richardson, Logson Group CEO added; “Durham Box is a great addition to the Logson family, and we are pleased to have acquired the business allowing us to expand our reach into the North East of the country.

Durham Box will join the existing Logson Group’s brands of Board24, Boxes and Packaging, Cases24, Jardin Corrugated, Red Rose Packaging, Boxshop and The Cardboard Box Company.

Collectively they form a unique mix of companies offering a full range of corrugated packaging solutions from 20 locations across the UK.

Logson Group has a turnover of over £400m per annum and employs over 1200 people.
