MP Global unveils thermal and protective packaging for pharmaceuticals

Saturday, Feb 07, 2015

Thermal Packaging Products, a unit of MP Global Products, has introduced an eco-smart foam-free thermal and protective packaging for shipment of mail-order temperature sensitive pharmaceutical products.

The insulated protective mailers and box liners have been designed for temperature control as well as protection of mail order shipments of temperature sensitive pharma, pet meds, and natural and organic cosmetics.

The packaging, which can be disposed post-use by the customer as ordinary household trash, features patented cotton enhanced insulating materials to offer soft cushioning thermal protection.

This cotton padding is produced using a selected blend of recycled cotton fibers that are said to be a super-absorbent to contain spills. It also has a time sensitive EPA-approved antimicrobial additive to prevent cross-contamination.

The cotton materials for insulating padding are said to be completely aerobic and anaerobically biodegradable in less than one year in the presence of active microorganisms.

The non woven cotton insulation fibers are compostable and comply with current F.T.C's 2013 Green guidelines.

Available in variable thicknesses of ultra-insulating padding, MP Global Thermal Packaging Products' patented super insulated envelopes and box liners can be custom sized to fit snuggly inside existing shipping containers, in order to reduce shipping costs.
