Print and marketing services provider Quad/Graphics has expanded the operations of its Dallas facility in the US.

The company has announced a multi-million-dollar investment at the facility to expand its services to the next generation marketers and brand owners.

Quad/Graphics’ investment is used to purchase two new digital presses to enhance the plant’s data-driven solutions, including QConnect that is Quad’s signatfront-end solution for creating, distributing and managing brand assets.

The new Fuji J Press digital print device will be used for offset printing, in addition to full variable one-to-one data management. It will be complemented by a Kodak NexPress for short-run and quick-turn workflows.

The company has also purchased finishing equipment, including Horizon StitchLiner 5500 saddle stitching system and two fully automated Horizon perfect binders, as well as folder, flatcutter and shrinkwrapper.

In addition, the facility is implementing the firm’s data-driven kitting and fulfillment solutions to simplify the management and distribution of finished products.

The facility provides services to customers such as Neiman Marcus, Toyota and J. Hilburn, in addition to retail, travel and hospitality, fast casual restaurants and automotive manufacturing customers.

Quad/Graphics marketing solutions president Tim Ohnmacht said: “Quad is proud to further that tradition with this transformation and is committed to continuing our legacy of top-quality work on behalf of America’s best-known brands.

“Our latest investment in this facility, along with the growth of our team and cutting-edge capabilities, makes this an exciting time for Quad and our customers as we continue to provide the most advanced and integrated end-to-end marketing solutions.”
