Taylor Communications Now Offers ISO/TS Certified Labels in Mexico

10 August 2016

Taylor Communications, one of North America’s leading providers of print and digital communications and promotional products, today announced that its subsidiary in Monterrey, N.L., Mexico, has earned the ISO/TS 16949:2009 quality management process certification and recertified the ISO 9001:2008 standard originally obtained in 2008. Issued by the International Standards Organization (ISO) and the International Automotive Task Force (IATF), the certifications are based on independent audits conducted over the past 15 months that resulted in high scores for the plant.

“We are proud that this facility, known locally as Standard Register Latinoamerica, is one of the few printers in Mexico to have earned this global certification, which is highly prized by quality-conscious manufacturers in the automotive and HVAC industries,” said Joseph Klenke, executive vice president of Taylor Communications.

Monterrey, in the northeastern state of Nuevo León, is Mexico’s third largest city and a major site for manufacturing. About 200 people work at the 60,000 square foot facility there, which is a leading supplier of labels to automotive and electronics manufacturers. The facility also offers other printing, warehousing and inventory management services, and local customer support.

In 2014, the facility won a supplier award from Carrier México SA de CV for outstanding performance. Its plants produce 3,500 different durable labels and supporting documentation for Carrier, achieving best-in-class standards for defective parts per million.

“Leading North American manufacturers have relied on Standard Register Latinoamerica and its predecessor, Standard Register de Mexico, to supply them with quality products for more than 10 years,” Klenke said. “This TS certification is evidence of our ongoing commitment to quality. Our Mexico facility services the durable label needs of some of the most demanding manufacturers in the world. This also accelerates our growth in the automotive market in Mexico.”

Standard Register Latinoamerica, S. de R.L. de C.V. is a subsidiary of Standard Register, Inc. (d/b/a Taylor Communications), one of North America’s leading providers of print and digital communications and promotional products.
