Amcor a global leader in developing and producing responsible packaging solutions, is proud to announce that Frank Lehmann was honored with the Transformative Industry Collaboration award at the 2026 Verdantix Transform Awards for his leadership in advancing open innovation, sustainability and collaboration across the packaging value chain through the Amcor Lift-Off initiative.

Through this initiative, Amcor engages high-potential start-ups and emerging packaging technologies to advance pioneering concepts from early development toward practical application. Selected participants have the opportunity to enter into a joint development agreement with Amcor’s R&D team as well as secure funding of up to $500,000 to scale solutions that address specific research and development challenges. By supporting breakthrough technologies and leveraging Amcor’s global scale, technical expertise and commercial capabilities, Amcor Lift-Off helps accelerate the development of these solutions and bring them closer to commercial reality.

Established in 2022, the Amcor Lift-Off initiative has strengthened Amcor’s pipeline of new technologies and partnerships, advanced the development of compostable, recycle-ready and bio-based materials and reinforced the company’s role as a trusted innovation partner for customers worldwide. Previous Lift-Off winners have included artificial intelligence (AI)-powered waste recognition with Greyparrot, circolution’s reusable packaging, Nfinite Nanotechnology’s sustainable coatings and Bloom Biorenewables’ bio-based polyethylene terephthalate (PET).

The Verdantix Transform Awards celebrate excellence in sustainability and climate leadership, honoring individuals and organizations demonstrating commitment to accelerating climate action and embedding sustainability into long-term business strategy. This recognition reflects Amcor’s commitment to delivering responsible packaging solutions that address the evolving needs of global brands and key industry challenges.
