Cascade Milling upgrades packaging line in Washington, US

20 February 2025

Cascade Milling is set to expand and upgrade its organic flour milling facility’s packaging line in central Washington State, US. The enhancements made to the packaging line are designed to optimise its process, making it more efficient and adaptable to various packaging requirements.

This improvement will enable Cascade Milling to better cater to the diverse preferences of its customer base, providing tailored packaging solutions for its range of organic products.

Additionally, the upgraded packaging line will now support private-label products. The company has introduced a significant expansion to its milling facility, including the construction of a new building.

This expansion is a strategic move to address the increasing demand for Cascade Milling’s organic flours, grains, and baking mixes.

Cascade Milling has highlighted its Just-Add-Water Organic Whole Grain Pancake & Waffle Mix as a standout product at the site. The company claims that this mix consists of only six natural ingredients and is a good source of protein and dietary fibre.

Packaging is the process of designing, producing, and using containers to protect products for storage, distribution, and sale. It can also refer to the containers themselves. Packaging can be described as a coordinated system of preparing goods for transport, warehousing, logistics, sale, and end use. Packaging contains, protects, preserves, transports, informs, and sells. In many countries it is fully integrated into government, business, institutional, industrial, and for personal use.

Cascade Milling owner and CEO Justin Brown said: “We are thrilled to announce the expansion of our facility and the upgrades to our retail packaging line.

“The new building and enhanced packaging line are a testament to our commitment to continuous improvement and innovation. We are also delighted to offer private-label organic flours, grains, and baking mixes, further expanding our product offerings to meet the needs of our customers.'
